Work on the Wharf - Werk aan de Werf
The NDSM-wharf is a former shipping wharf area in north-west Amsterdam now used as a space for artists/exhibitions/festivals. It's a large creative "self made city'. Due to it's popularity, the future of this creative hotspot is un secure. The book, Work on the Wharf, includes essay's, opinions, plans and a vision about the future of this unique "Terrain Vague" and how to protect this special place and it's community against a history repeating urban development.
